Haruka

Queen Anne belongs to the famed British line Cunard. She entered service on May 3, 2024, on a seven-night voyage from Lisbon, and is Cunard's 249th ship. She is named after Anne, Queen of Great Britain in the early 18th century.

She is the fourth "Queen", joining Cunard's Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth. This article uses official data and photographs.

On board

The restaurants follow the cabin groups, including Britannia, Princess Grill and Queens Grill. The theatre is the Royal Court Theatre, and the spa is Mareel Wellness & Beauty, with a Himalayan salt sauna and hydropool; it is described as the widest selection of facilities yet on a Cunard ship.

At the front of deck 14 are an observation deck and Sky Bar, and the Commodore Club is on deck 12, giving places to enjoy the view.

In numbers

Dividing gross tonnage by passenger capacity gives a rough "ship size per guest" of about 38 GT (Japan's Asuka II is about 58 GT). The larger the figure, the more room per guest. Dividing guests by crew gives about 2.4 guests per crew member, against about 1.8 for Asuka II; the lower the figure, the more attentive the staffing is said to be. These are simple divisions of the figures given in this article; they do not measure how busy a ship feels or the quality of service.

Who she suits

She suits travelers who want a British atmosphere and the theatres, restaurants and other facilities of a large ship. Another feature is the wide range of itineraries, from short sailings to a world cruise.
